The 2008 NBA Champion, Boston Celtics cagers led by Kevin Garnett watched the bout of Manny Pacquiao vs. David Diaz at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday June 29, 2008. Pacquiao knocked out Diaz in the ninth round. The Celtics players reportedly reserved 16 tickets to watch and support Pacquiao in his fight.
The Boston Celtics players then went straight to Manny Pacquiao’s room right after the Filipino boxing champ claimed his fourth world title in his fight with Mexican-American David Diaz. They were having pictures, chatting, and chanting “Manny!! Manny!! Manny!!!”
In Pacman’s locker room, the Boston Celtics came over to honor and celebrate with him. The radio personalities were even joking that Manny was happier to see Kevin Garnett than to win against David Diaz.
